2nd Annual Alberta’s Own Rock Weekend June 27, 28, and 29, 2003. June 27, 28, and 29 is the 2nd annual Alberta’s Own Rock Weekend in the county of Stettler, 6Km North of Donalda. Alberta’s Own will Feature the HeadStones, 47 of Alberta’s top Indie bands and comedians provided by FunnyFest, the Calgary comedy festival. It is our privilege to support the independent music industry here in Alberta for the second year. Our intent is to showcase independent bands from throughout Alberta. One of our objectives is to provide a forum from which the common humane can speak to the masses. We are challenging all Alberta's Own Rock Weekend Bands and Contenders to write a song about peace or what we could do to change this world. Peace, Faith, Friends, Family. We want to show Alberta what we are made of… Why??? Because we can!! The concert site sits on a beautiful ¼ section of land located 5km north of Donalda. PA and lights for both stages are supplied by AXE Productions. Beer gardens sponsored by Big Rock Beer equipped with its own stage. There will be food services, and a general store. A-1 septic is providing hand wash stations, potable water and toilets. A first aid tent, Police, Security, Fire, and Ambulance will all be on site throughout the weekend We have ample parking/camping spots, with overflow allowing approximately 15,000. The parking/camping spots are 20x25. All the roads have a 50 foot minimum width and will have parking attendants to direct traffic. Collaborating partners: AADAC, ECRHA, CAANS, DTRHA, CRHA, and HA5 will be on location handing out harm reduction packages.
