DescriptionGalena Country Fair features original, handmade products created by more than 150 craftspeople from across the country. Held in picturesque Grant Park overlooking historic Galena, Illinois, the fair is a Columbus Day weekend tradition.
The fair specializes in quality arts, crafts and fine arts. Stop in to the Country Bake Shop for fresh homemade baked goods prepared by local cooks. Farmers' Market offer maple syrup, honey and locally-grown apples, pumpkins, gourds and more. Throughout the weekend there is family entertainment including childrens' games, contests, live entertainment, a silent auction and raffle. Fairgoers won't go away hungry, there are lots and lots of fair favorites including caramel apples, homemade french fries, funnel cakes, fudge, baked potatoes and ice cream. Stop in to the Gazebo Gardens to enjoy a European Breakfast or later in the day sample wine and local meats and cheeses.
