The goal is to bring singer songwriters together each year at a location in Pennsylvania to perform for an appreciative audience and to meet other singer songwriters to share ideas, become friends and possibly be in a position to help each other in the future. And to make new fans for singer songwriters... Many singer songwriters from all over have already met at the past 5 festival and become good friends. Tours and gigs have been shared... Many keep in touch with each other. Many have helped each other further their career. Although the focus was originally on the small independent singer songwriter looking for ways to share their songs...the festival has grown, and is now also a grounds for the veteran songwriter and signed artists with no restrictions about affiliations in the music business. As long as you write and perform your own songs... you can be considered to perform at the PA Singer Songwriter Festival.
