Step back in time and experience the flamboyant world of Renaissance England. Enjoy jousting, music, food, period crafts, costumes, archery, a children's glade and dancing, all conducted by characters in Elizabethan costume. More than 1,000 costumed actors recreate the year 1580, at a small county fair in Yorkshire, England.

(Event is three miles north of the city of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 89.)

Four stages will provide continuous entertainment; drama, music, dancing and a children's stage that will have edited versions of Shakespeare's plays.

Take the trolley from South Lake Tahoe, $1 one way, $2 for all day pass. Weekends only.
