DescriptionChildren are especially lucky to be in Zeeland for this harvest celebration. The Pumpkin Festival starts with a Doo Dah Parade with an award for the best entry and the best, decorated bike and lots of children's games throughout the week-long celebration.
One highlight is a special wedding called a Match in the Patch. Children can participate in a wedding shower and a wedding all held in the patch in honor of Gert Gourd and Pete Pumpkin, the Pumpkin Bride and Groom.
But grown ups are not left out. They're sure to enjoy activities held At The Hop or to Tail Gate at the Classic Car show. The weekend rounds out the festivities with a Family Fun Day, Fun Runs and a Festival Parade for the whole family to enjoy.
