Celebrate the New Year with friends and family at First Night Columbia - mid-Missouri’s premiere event! Entertainment includes more than 75 performances plus activities and art at 15 locations in Downtown Columbia. Doors open at 6 pm. Entertainment begins at 6:30 pm.

Event-goers will travel from one location to the next enjoying a wide variety of entertainment from magic to film, jazz to bluegrass, rock to folk, classical to polka -for all ages. A venue is planned just for teens!

Make a mask, crown or noisemaker at the Childrens Art Area, participate in the 5K Run/Walk at 4pm, carry a Giant Puppet in the Procession, or ride on a carriage through beautiful Downtown Columbia.

A Childrens Procession at 9:30 will end with a fireworks display. At 11:30, the People’s Procession will lead revelers to the finale at Courthouse Square with entertainment and fireworks at midnight.

From I-70 take Providence exit south to Broadway, turn left. There are multiple venues, primarily on 9th Street north and south of Broadway and across College on Stephens College Campus. Fireworks at 9:30 and at midnight in Courthouse Square.
