6/11/2010 - 6/13/2010
DescriptionCelebrate the lore and history of the American West. You won't want to miss these outstanding poets and balladeers who are present-day ranchers or former rodeo cowboys and speak from the heart. Start with Johnny Kendrick performing some great cowboy music and stories Friday at 7pm. All day Saturday enjoy cowboy tales and music in the air conditioned halls of the FSCC Academic Building. Saturday night, hear a special performer along with Johnny Kendrick, Cliff Sexton, and other outstanding cowboy entertainers. Plus, under Kansas blue skies, authentic chuck wagon cooking; cowboy church; and blacksmithing by the campfires. In the halls, fine Western art, silver and turquoise jewelry, pottery, tack, leather work, and crafts. Also, you could be the winning bidder in a silent auction of great western items! Sunday morning after an inspirational Cowboy Church, the chuck wagon cooks will serve up a hearty breakfast. p>
